Description
OFFERED WITHOUT RESERVE
“World-class technology has taken tradition and reshaped it for a new generation,” said Chevrolet. The 1988 Corvette Convertible represented a refined evolution of the fourth‑generation Corvette, which debuted in 1984. For 1988, Chevrolet enhanced the C4’s performance and drivability with suspension improvements inspired by the factory Corvette Challenge race program. Power came from a 245 horsepower 5.7-liter L98 V8 paired with either a four‑speed automatic or a Doug Nash “4+3” manual overdrive transmission. Subtle exterior updates, improved brakes, and new wheel designs completed the model-year changes. For 1988, Chevrolet produced just 7,407 convertibles.
Sold new at James S. Quigley Inc. Chevrolet in Bally, Pennsylvania, this 1988 Chevrolet Corvette Convertible remained with its first owner until recently. Said to be lovingly maintained throughout his stewardship, the car was acquired in late 2025 by the seller, a lifelong friend who purchased it from the original owner's estate.
Showing less than 3,400 total miles, this Corvette is now offered at no reserve with a clean CARFAX history report, original purchase documents, its window sticker, owner's books, factory promotional materials, and a clean Pennsylvania title designated "Actual Miles" in the seller’s name.

Additional Information
The seller states, “I’m the second owner, original owner was a family friend. It was ordered and purchased new at Quigley Chevrolet in Bally, Pennsylvania (North of Philadelphia) by a lifelong friend. It has well documented 3,360 miles since new evidenced by maintenance receipts and a Pennsylvania title designated ‘Actual Miles.’ I purchased the car from his estate. I have known this car since it was new.
“All original except new 245/50R16 tires and battery in fall of 2024, replacement due to dry rotted unsafe tires. Original black convertible top in perfect condition. Original paint all the way around. Never any body damage or touchup paintwork. There is no known chips or anything requiring attention. There are no add-ons. All instruments function as they should and the car operates as it did in 1988. This Corvette is a 38-year-old time capsule and perfect candidate for an enthusiast to get involved with NCRS.”
