Introduced in 1973 and produced through the early 1990s, the General Motors pickup trucks that would eventually become known as "Square Body" were legends in their own time. Ironically called the "Rounded Line" by General Motors, these trucks had a boxy, squared-off look with minimal clutter that gave them timeless simplicity — and a remarkably aerodynamic profile for their era. A mild refresh for 1987 brought a new name — R for rear-drive models and V for those with four-wheel drive — though enthusiasts have long called them C/K trucks.
