Description

OFFERED WITHOUT RESERVE

For 1985, Chevrolet updated Camaro with an aerodynamic composite front fascia to improve airflow to the radiator and reduce drag, while revised valance panels aided high‑speed stability. The IROC‑Z package—derived from the International Race of Champions spec—featured a lowered suspension with special shocks, higher‑rate springs, and 16” aluminum wheels with Goodyear VR50 tires for improved lateral grip. Powertrain options included the new LB9 5.0L V8 with Tuned Port Injection, delivering a smoother torque curve and enhanced throttle response. All in, the 1985 Camaro was a more precision‑oriented performance choice than before.

This 1985 Camaro Z28 IROC-Z has been modified with a notchback rear hatch, reportedly sourced from a 1988 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am GTA. Power is provided by a 5.0L V8 fitted with aftermarket headers and said to be equipped with an updated ignition system and ECU, while a modified Turbo-Hydramatic 400 three-speed automatic transmission motivates the rear wheels. The body has been refinished in white and wears a hood protector, while gray cloth upholstery covers its bolstered seats inside. The car has been stripped of its heating and air conditioning systems,
