Lawyer Garage is an automotive custom shop and tourist attraction in Virginia Beach, Virginia, that’s known for its cool and outlandish creations.  From the Scooby-Doo Mystery Machine and Cars’ Lightning McQueen race car to Cousin Eddie’s RV from Christmas Vacation and a Santa Claus sleigh (with two reindeer) that’s capable of highway speeds, nothing is too big or odd for Aaron Lawyer and his crew to tackle. 

One such creation, which was unveiled on Instagram in July 2021, is this 1985 International Harvester S1600 “SpaceX Rocket Truck.” Acquired by the seller in May 2023, the S1600 truck was manufactured by International Harvester. The S series was introduced in 1977 to consolidate the medium-duty IHC Loadstar and heavy-duty IHC Fleetstar and was designed for various applications, including straight trucks, semi tractors, vocational trucks, and severe-service trucks. It featured a conventional cab design and V8 diesel engine. 

This one, of course, is no ordinary S1600, thanks to Lawyer Garage. The truck is painted red, white, and blue and is lettered with “NASA Launch and Flight Operations,” but its most memorable feature is the SpaceX “rocket” on its flatbed. You’ll be the talk of your next Cars and Coffee with this “out of this world” creation.
