OFFERED WITHOUT RESERVE

Introduced for the 1981 model year, the Mercedes-Benz 380SL paired V8 power with the timeless styling, robust engineering, and long-distance touring capability that defined the R107 platform. Built during an era of exceptional Mercedes-Benz build quality, the R107 remains a favorite among enthusiasts for its durability, comfort, and classic roadster proportions.

This '83 Mercedes-Benz 380SL is powered by a 3.8-liter V8 paired with a four-speed automatic transmission. Factory equipment includes a Becker Mexico Grand Prix radio, cruise control, power windows, a power-adjustable mirrors, heat-insulating glass, and more as outlined below.

Ownership History

The seller acquired this 380SL in 2025. The clean CARFAX Vehicle History Report begins in 1992 and lists registration history in California and North Carolina.

From the seller: “This 380SL spent most of its life in California and has had just three owners from new. The car has always been serviced and properly maintained, and I believe it presents very well throughout. It is equipped with both a recently replaced soft top and a color-matched removable hardtop. The car was repainted at some point in its life, and the finish still shows well today.

To my knowledge, there is no rust, and it has always been garage kept. During the time it has been in North Carolina, it has never been driven in the winter and was only caught in the rain on rare occasions. I also recently invested more than $16,000 in reconditioning work. The car remains completely stock with no modifications, having been extensively reconditioned while retaining its largely original interior.”

Included Items

  • Color-matched removable hardtop
