Description
OFFERED WITHOUT RESERVE
Cadillac’s 1983 sales brochure simplified things for anyone who might be looking to buy one of its luxury automobiles: “What makes a Cadillac a Cadillac? It can be summed up in a single word: Excellence.”
The ’83 Fleetwood Brougham, part of Cadillac's prestigious Fleetwood series (1977-86), continued to offer the “unmistakable elegance” and “unparalleled comfort” that Cadillac was renowned for. The full-size luxury sedan featured a distinctive design with a long, sleek body and a prominent grille. It was built on the D-body platform, which it shared with other large GM vehicles.
Under the hood was a 4.1-liter V8 engine known as the HT-4100, which was designed for better fuel efficiency compared to its predecessors. It was paired with a four-speed automatic transmission.
Inside, the Brougham offered a plush interior with wood trim, center arm rests, and “a generous supply of lighters.” Other standard features included power windows, power seats, and climate control. The car was also known for its smooth ride, thanks to an advanced suspension system and sound insulation that minimized road noise.
This 1983 Cadillac Fleetwood Brougham four-door wears its original Camero Ivory paint over Butternut Yellow leather upholstery, and the odometer shows 39,744 miles.
