Introduced in 1981, the Silver Spirit was the first of a new generation of Rolls-Royce models, marking a significant evolution from its predecessor, the Silver Shadow. Designed by Fritz Feller, the Silver Spirit featured a more modern and aerodynamic design while retaining the classic Rolls-Royce elegance.  

The 1982 Silver Spirit was powered by a 6.75-liter V8 engine, paired with a three-speed GM THM400 automatic transmission. This combination provided a smooth and powerful driving experience, characteristic of all Rolls-Royce motorcars. The car also featured a hydropneumatic self-levelling suspension system licensed from Citroën, enhanced with gas-charged shock absorbers, ensuring an exceptionally comfortable ride.  Inside, the Silver Spirit was a testament to luxury and the kinds of craftsmanship only multigenerational artisans can provide, with Connolly leather upholstery, rare burr walnut veneers, and advanced (for the time) electronic features.   

The result? “A car that is, could only be, a… Rolls-Royce.”  Highlights
