Description
The C3 Corvette entered 1981 in the final stretch of its fifteen-year production run, and while emissions regulations and fuel economy mandates had significantly reduced performance from the muscle car era peaks, the platform's fundamental character — fiberglass body, independent rear suspension, and a V8 driving the rear wheels — remained intact.
This 1981 Corvette Coupe is finished in Torch Red and has been modified by the seller with a GM 350ci HO Deluxe crate engine paired with a rebuilt 700R4 automatic transmission and a 3.07 rear differential. The engine breathes through a Holley Sniper throttle-body electronic fuel-injection system, and is cooled by a DeWitts aluminum radiator. The braking system has been upgraded with Wilwood calipers, drilled and slotted rotors, braided lines, and replacement booster and master cylinder, and the front suspension has been overhauled front and rear featuring rear coilovers and a Borgeson power steering conversion.
Inside, the red interior features replacement wiring as well as a retro-style head unit, and the car is equipped with removable T-top panels.
This 1981 Chevrolet Corvette Coupe is offered with a clean CARFAX Vehicle History Report and a clean North Carolina title in the seller's name.
