Description
OFFERED WITHOUT RESERVE
The 1981 Mercedes-Benz 380 SLC marked the final chapter of Mercedes-Benz’s elegant C107 coupe series, a luxurious grand tourer derived from the popular SL roadster but that was stretched to provide additional rear-seat space and long-distance comfort.
According to multiple sources, world production ran from May 1980 to September 1981, with a total of 3,789 examples built.
The 380 SLC, which succeeded the earlier 450 SLC models, was powered by a fuel-injected 3.8-liter M116 V8 engine aimed specifically at the U.S. market due to its broad torque curve, with U.S. cars mated to a four-speed automatic transmission. The pillarless hardtop design gave the 380 SLC a sleek profile, while its spacious interior made it an ideal vehicle for touring.
This example is finished in Astral Silver Metallic over a black interior with leather upholstery. Additional features include four-wheel independent suspension, power-assisted disc brakes, tinted glass, power sunroof, cruise control, wood veneer trim on the center console and dashboard, Becker AM/FM head unit with cassette player, and power steering, windows, locks, and mirrors.
This 1981 Mercedes 380 SLC is now offered without reserve with a carpeted dashboard cover, a CARFAX Vehicle History Report, and a clean New Jersey title in the owner’s name.
