Description
OFFERED WITHOUT RESERVE
The 1980 Jeep CJ-7 was one of the most celebrated variants of the iconic Civilian Jeep line, arriving at a moment when Jeep was eager to push its rugged machines upmarket without sacrificing off-road credibility.
The CJ-7 itself had debuted in 1976, offering a longer wheelbase than the CJ-5 and, crucially, enough room for an automatic transmission and a proper hardtop. By 1980, AMC — which had acquired Jeep from Kaiser in 1970 — introduced the Laredo package as a luxury-trim option designed to attract buyers who wanted trail capability wrapped in refinement. The Laredo brought chrome bumpers, a full soft top, carpeted interior, special badging, and a brushed-aluminum dashboard that felt genuinely premium for a bare-bones off-roader.
The V8 option came courtesy of AMC’s 304ci (5.0L) V8, robust enough to handle serious terrain and highway cruising alike. Paired with either the Turbo Hydra-Matic 400 automatic or a T176 4-speed manual transmission, the CJ-7 Laredo gave drivers genuine grunt on and off the road.
Showing just over 31,100 miles, this CJ-7 wears triple-black paint, top, and upholstery, as well as Laredo badging.
This 1980 Jeep CJ-7 is now offered by the selling dealer at no reserve with a clean Georgia title.
