Description

OFFERED WITHOUT RESERVE

The 1979 Dolphin motorhome emerged during the early wave of compact, fuel ‑efficient “micro‑mini” motorhomes that defined the late 1970s RV market. Built by the Dolphin Camper Company—later known as National RV—the series originated in 1976 as one of the industry’s first true micro‑mini Class C motorhomes, mounted on a durable Toyota truck chassis. By 1979, the Dolphin lineup included several configurations, typically powered by Toyota’s 2.2L inline-four. Their aluminum-clad camper shells, over cab sleeping area, and efficient four‑cab sleeping area, and efficient four-cylinder powertrains made them appealing to budget‑cylinder powertrains made them appealing to budget‑minded travelers seeking versatility in a small footprint.

This 1979 Dolphin camper features a Toyota truck cab and chassis that is powered by a modified 2.2L 20R inline-four paired with a four-speed manual transmission. Finished in white with blue graphics, the exterior has been fitted with a cowl hood scoop, side-mounted awning, roof-mounted solar panels, and a rear receiver hitch with a fold-down cargo carrier. Inside, a kitchenette is joined by a wet bath, an air conditioning unit, two convertible sleeping platforms, and gray woodgrain applique. Mechanical modifications include a Weber carburetor, 22R cylinder head, Cannon intake manifold, aftermarket exhaust system, and rear air springs.

This Toyota Dolphin camper is now offered at no reserve with a clean Utah title in the seller’s name.
