Description

OFFERED WITHOUT RESERVE

The 1977 Volkswagen Type 2 marked a mature point in the second-generation “Bay Window” Transporter, introduced in 1967. By the late 1970s, the Type 2 had evolved into a safer, more powerful, and more comfortable successor to the iconic split‑window bus. The 1977 model commonly featured Volkswagen’s fuel-injected 2.0L flat‑four, improving reliability and emissions performance. Known for its versatility, it was offered in configurations ranging from panel vans to the beloved Westfalia camper. The Type 2 rolled on as a symbol of counterculture travel and outdoor living, with production continuing in various global markets for decades.

Finished in blue and white, this '77 VW Bus features a fuel-injected 2.0L flat-four paired with a four-speed transaxle, while braking is handled by discs up front and drums out back. Inside, its three rows of seating are upholstered in textured beige vinyl, and additional features include a sliding side door and a wood-rimmed steering wheel.

This 1977 Volkswagen Type 2 Bus is now offered at no reserve in Nevada with a duplicate Illinois title in the name of the seller’s spouse.
