Description

Introduced for the 1972 model year, the Lincoln Continental Mark IV was available exclusively as a two-door hardtop coupe with an instantly recognizable “Greek Temple” grill, oval opera windows, and Continental rear trunk lid hump evoking the style of Continental kits of the 1950s. Now four inches longer than its predecessor, the Mark IV has an incredible road presence with a dramatic, elongated hood and would remain in production until 1976 with several updates to the model along the way. The updates included new bumpers in 1973, greater sound insulation and thicker carpeting in 1974, and four-wheel disc brakes in 1975. As the final year of production for the full-size Lincoln Continental, this personal luxury car remains highly sought after with incredible styling and also the most refined driving experience from a full-size Lincoln of the era.
