Description
During the 1970s, America’s Sports Car soared in popularity, to the point where Chevy’s St. Louis factory struggled to meet demand. This surge was fueled by the Corvette’s irresistible blend of sleek design, powerful V8 performance, and impressive handling.
The 1975 model year marked a pivotal evolution in the Corvette’s design since the C3’s debut in 1968. Both front and rear ends were updated with small bumperettes for minor impacts, and the rear bumper was redesigned as a single-piece plastic unit. The coupe came with removable T-top roof panels, while the convertible made its final appearance until its return in 1986.
Under the hood, the ’75 Corvette featured two 350-cubic-inch V8s, paired with either a four-speed manual or a three-speed Turbo Hydra-Matic automatic transmission. It also introduced a catalytic converter, improved sound insulation, and GM’s new “High Energy” electronic ignition system.
This 1975 Corvette four speed has been updated with a modified 454 cu-in big block, and also wears an older bright red repaint.

Ownership History
The Massachusetts seller of this 1975 Chevrolet Corvette has owned it since August 2021. The consignor states, “The car was refurbished under prior ownership from 1990-2021, and repainted Torch Red in 1990. The four-speed is original, however I don’t know what kind of vehicle the 1973 454 is from. This car recently received a four-wheel alignment.”
