Description

OFFERED WITHOUT RESERVE

The Bradley GT was created by Gary Courneya and David Bradley Fuller, partners who had previously run a Volkswagen-based dune buggy fabrication business called Gary's Bug Shop. The first production GT was delivered in September 1970, built as a fiberglass four-seat coupe mounted on an unmodified Volkswagen Beetle chassis, which meant the car inherited the Beetle's wheelbase and mechanicals.

Rather than conventional doors, the GT used frameless plastic panels that hinged upward gull-wing style, paired with hidden headlamps under large covers. Buyers could choose a kit to assemble themselves or pay Bradley Automotive to complete the build.

Despite its budget origins, the GT attracted unlikely fame, including ownership by entertainer Liberace, who had a rather gaudy Bradley finished in a dark gold with heavy metal-flake and wide whitewalls on Cragar wheels. The company sold roughly 6,000 GTs between 1970 and 1981 before financial troubles and competition eventually ended production.

This Bradley GT has Cragar S/S wheels and is finished a gold metalflake gelcoat. Like all Bradley GTs, it’s built on a Volkswagen Beetle chassis, and this one is powered by a VW 1,600cc flat-four and 4-speed manual transaxle.

This 1975 Bradley GT is now offered at no reserve on dealer consignment with a clean Florida title.
