Description

OFFERED WITHOUT RESERVE

The TR6 was one of Triumph's last traditional inline-six roadster, produced from 1969 through 1976 and remaining one of the most viscerally satisfying British sports cars of the era. The 2.5-liter inline-six breathed through dual carburetors, while the TR6's combination of genuine small car performance, rack-and-pinion steering, and front disc brakes gave it a driving personality that aged better than many of its contemporaries, and the wood-faced dashboard and Smiths instrumentation kept the cockpit rooted in the British sports car tradition.

This 1974 TR6 was reportedly acquired by the seller from its original owner in 1999. Its 2.5L inline-six has been fitted with two Zenith-Stromberg carburetors, and its four-speed manual gearbox features electronic overdrive. The car rides on Panasport 15-inch wheels wearing Michelin Redline tires and features a single Talbot-style racing mirror on driver's door.

Work under current ownership is said to have included refinishing the dashboard and gauges, all chrome was sent out for re-plating, and a Robbins OEM-style convertible top with reflective strips and zip-down rear window has been installed. Mechanical work is reported to have included a rebuild of the carburetors, fitment of a Pertronix electronic ignition system, and replacement of various components such as the clutch hydraulics, hubs, suspension bushings, and more as described below.

This 1974 Triumph TR6 is offered at no reserve with a tonneau cover, top boot, service manual and wiring diagram, and a clean Wisconsin title in the seller's name.
