Description
OFFERED WITHOUT RESERVE
The R107 SL and C107 SLC shared their platform and powertrain but served distinct purposes — where the SL was a two-seat roadster, the SLC added a longer wheelbase, fixed roof, and a small rear seat that gave it grand touring credentials over longer distances. The 450SLC specifically carried the 4.5-liter M117 V8 that had established itself as one of the more refined large-displacement engines of the era, smooth and torque-rich in a way that suited the SLC's long-haul character. The C107 was produced in relatively small numbers compared to the R107, and the fixed-roof coupe body has historically attracted a more specific collector following.
This 1974 450SLC is finished in black over a tan MB-Tex interior and is powered by the 4.5-liter M117 V8 paired with a 4-speed automatic transmission. The car is fitted with a Blaupunkt Berlin SQR 83 cassette stereo and radio module and rides on 16-inch Centra T31 wheels with Mercedes-Benz centers.
Acquired in May of this year, the seller states that various cooling hoses, fuel injectors, battery, engine drive belts, and the distributor have been replaced.
This 1974 Mercedes-Benz 450SLC is offered with a multiple keys and clean Texas title in the seller's name.
