Description

OFFERED WITHOUT RESERVE

“The Jensen-Healey is a true sports car in the classic tradition—responsive, agile, and exhilarating to drive.” — 1974 Jensen-Healey Mk II Brochure The 1974 Jensen-Healey Mk II marked a significant evolution in British sports car design. Produced by Jensen Motors in collaboration with Donald Healey, the Mk II was introduced as an update to the original 1972 model. It featured several refinements aimed at improving reliability and meeting stricter U.S. safety regulations. Most notably, the Mk II adopted revised bumpers and trim details, distinguishing it visually from earlier versions, along with improved interior finishes. Under the hood, the Mk II retained the spirited 2.0-liter Lotus 907 16-valve twin-cam engine, delivering around 145 horsepower and revving up to 7000 rpm. This advanced powerplant, paired with a lightweight body and components sourced from Sunbeam, Triumph, and Vauxhall, gave the car agile handling and brisk performance.  The Mk II earned a loyal following and even achieved racing success, winning multiple SCCA national championships. As the 1974 Jensen-Healey Mk II brochure stated, “Designed by Donald Healey, engineered by Jensen, and powered by Lotus—three great names in motoring history come together in one remarkable car.”
