Description
OFFERED WITHOUT RESERVE
The 1973 Ford Mustang Mach 1 marked the final year of the sleek fastback profile and big-block horsepower that was introduced in 1969 and would be replaced with a downsized Mustang in ’74. Introduced as a performance-oriented fastback, the original Mach 1 combined aggressive styling with powerful engine options. For 1973, Ford made subtle updates to meet new federal safety regulations, including larger bumpers and revised grille details.
Despite tightening emissions standards, the Mach 1 still offered robust V8 choices that delivered strong performance for muscle car enthusiasts. Its distinctive features included bold striping, sport wheels, and optional Ram Air hoods, reinforcing its sporty identity.
Described as a non-running project, this example wears Raven Black paint over black vinyl bucket seats with cloth inserts. It is equipped with a factory 351ci Cleveland V8, Ford SelectShift Cruise-O-Matic three-speed automatic transmission, air conditioning, Progressive five-spoke sport wheels, a GT Grant leather-wrapped steering wheel, Pioneer AM/FM/Cassette/CD stereo, and more.
This Mach 1 project is now offered at no reserve with a 1973 shop manual and a clean Ohio title in the seller’s name.
