Description
OFFERED WITHOUT RESERVE
For 1973, Dodge simplified the Challenger lineup to a single model, with the Rallye package available as an appearance option. Although the car remained visually similar to the 1972 version, revised bumpers distinguished the new model year.
Thrust came from a 318ci V8, with now-standard electronic ignition. A 3-speed manual transmission served as the base gearbox, though buyers could opt for a 3-speed automatic for a nominal fee. And while its racy looks and rumbling V8 stole the show, Dodge also promoted a “Torsion Quiet Ride,” achieved through the use of rubber isolators designed to reduce road noise and improve cabin comfort.
This example was reportedly refreshed prior to current ownership, retaining the 1973 model’s timeless styling under updated yellow paint. It pays tribute to high-performance Challengers with a Rallye Package hood, blackout styling on the grille, fender scoops, and rear deck, black body stripes, and a Rallye-style instrument cluster in the black interior. That look is set off by 17” chrome wheels over front disc, rear drum brakes, and it is now powered by a 340ci V8 backed by a TorqueFlite 3-speed automatic transmission.
This 1973 Dodge Challenger is now offered by the selling dealer with a clean Florida title.
