OFFERED WITHOUT RESERVE
Chevrolet took somewhat of a gamble with the release of the third-generation Corvette in 1968. Based on the Mako Shark II concept car, the C3 'Vette leaned heavily into the capabilities of fiberglass construction, with over-the-top proportions, removable T-top panels, and an aggressive, angular front end. It was a radical departure from the C2, but it proved to have some serious longevity; manufactured until 1982, the C3 had the longest production run of any iteration of the Corvette. By the early 70's, the design had been modernized slightly, losing most of the car's chrome trim in favor of consistent body-color panels, and benefitting from the introduction of the legendary 350ci V8.
This 1973 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray is powered by an L48-code 350ci V8, funneled through a 3-speed "Turbo-Hydramatic" automatic transmission. The car was modified to accommodate a custom six-across taillight arrangement and was refinished in white before being acquired by the seller in 2014.
Inside, the seats are finished in a tan vinyl upholstery, with power windows, and removable T-top panels. Power steering and brakes are also fitted, with a dual gauge cluster framed by a steering wheel sourced from a later C3. An additional auxiliary gauge pack sits in the center of the dashboard, sitting above the climate controls and an aftermarket AM/FM/cassette radio has been installed.
This 1973 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray is offered at no reserve with assorted spare parts, two car covers, manufacturer's literature, various awards and trophies, a clean Florida title in the seller's name.
