Description
The iconic second-generation C Series Chevrolet trucks launched in 1967, with innovative designer Harry Bradley penning an almost car-like nose, refined grille, and sleek cab. As production continued the C Series was gradually given a more upright, utilitarian look — a precursor to today’s imposing trucks.
By 1972, the tough-looking C10 was both easy to drive, and highly configurable: It was available with Fleetside or Stepside bodies, 115- or 127-inch wheelbases, inline sixes or small- and big-block V8s, and manual and automatic transmissions. But the big story was comfort: these Chevy trucks relatively coddled occupants with a smooth ride from its ladder frame and refined suspension, then impressed them with numerous convenience and power options. It was a revolutionary pickup then, and it remains a highly desirable collectible now.
This example combines classic Chevy truck styling with modern performance. Its body was refreshed, refinished in two-tone red and white, and embellished with high-quality brightwork. It sits high on a customized chassis from a late-2000s General Motors truck, which houses a 6.2L LS V8 backed by a 6-speed automatic transmission, and it has been converted to four-wheel drive. The truck's lifted suspension helps clear 20” wheels wearing off-road tires, and a custom interior features Houndstooth upholstery, a tilt steering column with a custom wheel, and updated gauges.
This 1972 Chevrolet C10 4x4 is ready for the road, the show, or the trail, and is now offered by the selling dealer with a clean Florida title.
