Description
OFFERED WITHOUT RESERVE
Introduced in 1969 as Chevrolet’s answer to the Ford Bronco and International Scout, the K5 Blazer combined the rugged underpinnings of Chevrolet’s C/K pickup line with a shortened wheelbase and a removable fiberglass top, giving buyers a unique blend of off-road capability, cargo space, and everyday practicality. Its larger size, available V8 power, and better overall comfort gave it a marketing edge many of its competitors didn't have, demonstrating that four-wheel-drive vehicles could serve as family transportation as well as utilitarian workhorses.
For 1971, one of the most significant updates was the adoption of front disc brakes, a major safety and performance improvement over the previous drum-brake setup. Additionally, the front grille was redesigned for a more modern look and the wheel bolt pattern changed from the previous 6-lug pattern to 5-lug.
This 1971 Chevrolet K5 Blazer CST is presented as a driving project vehicle. The truck left the factory painted black with a black top and black vinyl interior, a color combination it wears today.
Under the hood is a small-block 350ci V8 mated to a column-shifted automatic transmission and a two-speed transfer case. This Blazer is equipped with power front disc brakes, and inside it features a tilt steering column and bucket seats with a center console as well as a rear seat.
The truck was acquired by the seller in 2025, and the fuel pump is said to ahve been replaced in preparation for the sale.
This 1971 Chevrolet K5 Blazer CST Project is now offered with a clean Utah title in the seller’s name.

Additional Information
The seller states, "Starts, idles, runs well. Drives well. The transmission does shift but sometimes the shift is hard enough to make tires chirp. All glass is good. Engine is strong, excellent oil pressure. No smoke from engine and no soot in exhaust. New fuel pump 9/25/26. A/C works but needs recharge. Tires have excellent tread but appear old. "Factory AM radio does not appear to work. Some lights do not work. Vehicle needs rust repair. In the driving POV video, there is a knocking sound and it's not the motor but rather the center console lid which is loose."
