Description

OFFERED WITHOUT RESERVE

From the estate of Porsche Master Mechanic David Glenn—director of RUF’s famed Yellowbird engine program and longtime Porsche Motorsport North America specialist—comes an exceptional offering of over 70 no-reserve auction lots. The collection spans Porsche road and race cars, 911 project cars, engines, gearboxes, tools, parts, workshop equipment, and memorabilia, along with select personal vehicles.     Glenn’s five-decade career defined excellence in Porsche engine building, from Kremer Racing to RUF Automobile and Porsche Motorsport, where his precision and passion earned global respect. His meticulously maintained workshop reflects that legacy—filled with authentic engines, precision tools and equipment, reference materials and carefully preserved parts.     On-site lot viewings are available by appointment at Hagerty Garage + Social Savannah, 1446 Dean Forest Rd., Savannah, GA 31405.   * * *

Offered from the estate of Porsche Master Mechanic David Glenn, this Type 901/10 2.0-liter flat-six engine represents a desirable long block from the final year of the short-wheelbase 911 S. The 901/10 specification was exclusive to the 1969 911 S, featuring higher compression, larger valves, and mechanical fuel injection in factory trim—making it among the most sought-after early 911 powerplants.

This example, engine number 6390973, is presented as a long block assembly, built and prepared by David Glenn. It displays clean, correct finishes throughout and includes lower and upper valve covers, cam housings, fan pulley, and a number of fasteners and fittings. The mechanical fuel injection system and ancillary components are not included, as pictured.

Although no documentation or test data accompany the lot, the assembly quality and attention to detail are consistent with Glenn’s exacting standards. This 901/10 engine is well-suited for completion by a Porsche specialist or as a display example of one of the marque’s most revered early engine types.
