Description

OFFERED WITHOUT RESERVE

From the estate of Porsche Master Mechanic David Glenn—director of RUF’s famed Yellowbird engine program and longtime Porsche Motorsport North America specialist—comes an exceptional offering of over 70 no-reserve auction lots. The collection spans Porsche road and race cars, 911 project cars, engines, gearboxes, tools, parts, workshop equipment, and memorabilia, along with select personal vehicles.

Glenn’s five-decade career defined excellence in Porsche engine building, from Kremer Racing to RUF Automobile and Porsche Motorsport, where his precision and passion earned global respect. His meticulously maintained workshop reflects that legacy—filled with authentic engines, precision tools and equipment, reference materials and carefully preserved parts.

Preview appointments begin October 20, 2025, at Hagerty Garage + Social Savannah, 1446 Dean Forest Rd., Savannah, GA 31405.    * * *

Offered from the estate of Porsche Master Mechanic David Glenn, this 1969 Porsche 911S Targa project represents an early and highly sought-after “S” variant from the first model year of the long-wheelbase 911 chassis.

Originally finished in Bahama Yellow over black leatherette with corduroy inserts, this example retains the distinctive, one-year-only features of 1969 production.

While not believed to be matching-numbers or complete, this car is powered by a David Glenn–rebuilt 911 S engine, seen running on video during its test cycle following installation from at least two years ago. The project is offered as a rolling chassis accompanied by two rolling racks of parts and accessories believed related toits completion, though completeness is not verified.

From its desirable color combination to its connection with one of Ruf and Porsche Motorsport’s most respected engine builders, this 911 S Targa project car offers an exciting opportunity for a knowledgeable enthusiast to complete a genuine long-hood S under rewarding circumstances.
