Description

OFFERED WITHOUT RESERVE

The 1969 Oldsmobile Hurst/Olds Holiday Coupe was a bold collaboration between Oldsmobile and Hurst Performance, designed to push the boundaries of GM’s muscle car offerings. Based on the 4-4-2 Holiday Coupe, it featured a specially modified 455 cubic-inch V8 engine producing 380 horsepower and a massive 500 lb-ft of torque, paired with a Turbo 400 automatic transmission.

To bypass GM’s internal restriction on engine size for intermediate cars, Oldsmobile shipped the cars to Demmer Engineering in Lansing, Michigan, where Hurst added signature touches: a functional twin-inlet hood scoop, Dual Gate (“His/Hers”) shifter, rear spoiler, and Firefrost Gold striping over Cameo White paint. The result was a visually aggressive and high-performance machine that stood out among its peers.

Fewer than 1,000 of these 1969 Oldsmobile Hurst/Olds Holiday Coupes were produced, making them rare and coveted today. Perhaps even rarer are Hurst/Olds that no longer possess some of the car’s signature items. This one retains its original (and recently rebuilt) 455 V8, but the seller believes the previous owner swapped the hood and gave it a dark blue paint job. The current owner added the 4-4-2 badges; Hurst/Olds cars did not have them.

Ownership History

The Florida seller of this 1969 Oldsmobile Hurst/Olds Holiday Coupe has owned it since September 2020. The seller says, “I purchased the car from a woman whose husband had worked on it for years. It was in many pieces and had a newly rebuilt engine, which is most definitely a 455. I believe the engine is original, the hood was replaced, and then the car was painted blue. I added the 4-4-2 badges, and I removed a weird off-brand floor shifter and put back a new Hurst shifter.”

This Oldsmobile is offered with a clean Florida title in the seller's name.
