Description
The 1968 Chevrolet Camaro brought changes, both required and desired, to the second year of Chevy’s entry into the pony‑car market, refining the strong foundation set in 1967. It introduced Astro Ventilation, added federally required side marker lights, and adopted a cleaner exterior by eliminating front vent windows. Engine options ranged from an efficient straight‑six to powerful small‑ and big‑block V8s. Interior and safety updates aligned the model with new regulations without sacrificing its sporty identity.
This 1968 Camaro received refurbishment work that included replacing its factory inline-six with a 396ci V8 paired with a 4-speed Muncie transmission. The body is refinished in black with a white nose stripe, as well as “396” and “SS” badging. Inside, appointments include a Hurst shifter, Bluetooth stereo, black vinyl upholstery, and a center console with a padded armrest, cup holders, and a quartet of auxiliary gauges. Additional modifications include an aluminum radiator and a rebuilt rear end with Strange Engineering axles.
This 1968 Chevrolet Camaro Coupe is now offered with a clean Connecticut title in the seller’s name.
