Description
OFFERED WITHOUT RESERVE
For 1968, Chevrolet effectively left "well enough" alone with its instant hit, the Camaro. The ’67 edition had proven to be a worthy answer to the Mustang, with sales numbers looking strong and Camaro winning 10 of 13 races in the Trans-Am Series.
Some thoughtful minor alterations were made, however. For example, the vent windows that framed the A-pillars were eliminated. With those gone, Chevy had to do something about getting airflow to the driver, so GM installed air vents below the dash, a feature it called “Astro-Ventilation.”
Where Chevy left well enough along in 1968, this Camaro RS/SS has been tastefully upgraded for today’s driver. The RS package features the hideaway headlights, which have been upgraded with a modern electronic conversion. Digital dashes appear on the interior, complimented by houndstooth upholstery. Power comes from a 454 cubic-inch big block V8 topped with an exotic eight-stack fuel injection system, ensuring serious performance.
