Description
OFFERED WITHOUT RESERVE
Introduced in 1961 as the P1800, Volvo’s two-door sports coupe was first built in England before production moved to Gothenburg, Sweden, in 1963, when it became the 1800S. Power came from the 1.8L B18 inline-four, and the four-speed manual transmission could be paired with an electrically actuated Laycock overdrive.
This 1800S was purchased by the seller in April 2021 as a gift for the seller's wife, and it is currently finished in red over brown upholstery. The seller reports that a shop in Troy, New York, performed mechanical and structural work, with additional repairs completed locally, including replacement of cooling, fuel, braking, suspension, clutch and electrical components. Additionally, the car is said to have had underside rust repair as described below as well as a repaint of its hood.
Reported modifications include a Weber downdraft carburetor, a 4-2-1 header, and LED headlight assemblies.
This 1967 Volvo 1800S is now offered at no reserve with a seller-provided list of completed work and New York registration in the seller’s name.
