From the seller: “"Forty years ago, my girlfriend wanted me to fix up a Camaro for her, so we started looking around. One day, she told me she had found a Firebird, and I said, 'You wanted a Camaro.' She agreed, and we kept looking.

We finally found her a '76 Camaro for me to restore, and so I did. The first day we took her newly restored '76 Camaro out, we drove down a back road and happened to drive right by the Firebird she had told me about. I said, 'You Didn't Tell Me It Was a 1967 Firebird!'

As it turned out, it belonged to family friends of her mom and dad, so we pulled in and looked it over because it had been sitting there for quite a while. When I talked to Gary, he said, 'I bought it brand new off the lot in '67,' and I fell in love with it.

So I took it home and rebuilt the motor, even though it didn't need it. I replaced the rear quarters and repainted it with the help of my dad and grandpa, who operated a shop where they did this sort of work.

I have been driving it for years, and it has been the most dependable car I have ever owned. Now, after owning more cars, I am running out of storage space in both of my garages.

A tear or two will be shed when this car leaves my driveway, and a friend or two will probably call me crazy for selling it and talk about all the memories made in 'The Bird.' But it's time for me to build a new house, and this will help with that project."
