The 1967 Lincoln Continental Lehmann-Peterson Limousine represents a pinnacle of American luxury and bespoke craftsmanship. Built by Lehmann-Peterson of Chicago, the official coachbuilder for Lincoln from 1963 to 1970, these limousines were custom-ordered for elite clientele including celebrities, politicians, and business magnates.

Lehmann-Peterson began converting standard Lincoln Continentals into executive limousines in 1963, after impressing Ford with a prototype that surpassed Ford’s rigorous durability tests. By 1967, their conversions featured a 34-inch stretch, creating a 160-inch wheelbase, and were powered by a 462 cubic inch V8 engine paired with a three-speed automatic transmission.

Only 76 Lehmann-Peterson limousines were built in 1967, and fewer than ten are known to survive today. Since each was custom ordered they were often outfitted with amenities like dual air conditioning systems, auto-dimming headlamps, cruise control, and a division window.

These limousines were not just transportation—they were mobile statements of prestige, often featuring lavish interiors with leather and cloth upholstery, entertainment systems, and custom options. Today, they are highly prized by for their rarity, craftsmanship, and historical significance.
