Description
OFFERED WITHOUT RESERVE
The CJ-5 was the cornerstone of Jeep's civilian lineup through the 1960s and into the 1980s, combining a short-wheelbase body-on-frame platform with solid axles and part-time four-wheel drive in a configuration that has remained the defining image of the American off-road vehicle. For 1966, Kaiser-Jeep introduced the Dauntless V6 as an optional engine — a 225ci Buick-derived unit that replaced the aging four-cylinder and inline-six options with a torquier, more modern powerplant that enthusiasts have long regarded as one of the better engine choices for the CJ-5 platform.
This 1967 CJ-5 was acquired by the seller in 2021 and subsequently stripped to bare metal and refinished in Spruce Tip Green. The Jeep is powered by a 225ci Dauntless V6 paired with a T-14 three-speed manual gearbox and a D-18 two-speed transfer case, all of which are said to have been overhauled. A Kaiser-Willys front disc brake conversion and Advance Adapters power steering conversion have been fitted for improved drivability, and the truck is equipped with 31-inch mud tires mounted on Pro-Comp wheels and a Warn HS9500i winch with a synthetic line.
This 1967 Jeep CJ-5 is offered at no reserve with various receipts and repair manuals and a clean Texas title in the seller's name.
