Description

Introduced in 1961, the Jaguar E‑Type stunned the automotive world with its aerodynamic form, monocoque‑and‑subframe construction, and performance derived directly from Jaguar’s Le Mans–winning D‑Type. The 1967 model year stands as historically significant, straddling the shift to U.S. safety and emissions requirements, making it one of the last E‑Types to retain the purist Series I aesthetics.

Built October 14, 1966 and initially delivered to Jaguar Cars New York this two-seat Series 1 Roadster left the factory finished in Opalescent Golden Sand over Red leather with a Sand convertible top, and it has remained under current ownership for more than five decades.

Photos included in the gallery highlight a multi-year refurbishment completed in 2021, returning the car to its factory paint and upholstery colors with the addition of a red convertible soft top, a larger aluminum radiator, a U.K.-spec 3.07:1 rear gear ratio, and a modern radio.

This 1967 Jaguar XKE Series 1 4.2 convertible is now offered with a color-matched hardtop, a Jaguar Heritage certificate, tool kit, and a clean Florida title in the seller’s name.
