What C2 Corvette doesn’t look good wearing the factory aluminum knock-off wheels? Those optional wheels were produced by original equipment manufacturer Kelsey-Hayes for Chevrolet. Officially dubbed Regular Production Order P48, they were actually quite rare. For example, in 1965 1,116 Corvettes were ordered with the $322.80 P48 option out of 23,564 cars built that year – just 4.7%. And no 1963 Corvette was equipped with them from the factory due to manufacturing issues. You’ll see many Corvettes from 1963 – 66 wearing these wheels today (1967 wheels look similar but are bolt-on), but most of those are modern reproductions.
Offered here is a set of original, unused New Old Stock P48 Kelsey-Hayes knock-off wheels, along with their accompanying adaptor hubs, spinner wheel nuts, and special lug nuts. You can tell these are specific to 1965 and 1966 Corvettes due to the dark gray paint between the spokes, while the brushed finish on the cones under the wheel nuts are unique to the 1966 models. And they are genuine due to “K-H D-49985” cast into the inside face of the wheel. Why mount copies on your C2 Corvette when you can roll with genuine Kelsey-Hayes wheels?
