Description

Stylish, light, and powerful, 1964-1967 Chevelles are highly sought-after muscle cars. The first-year 1964 model was available in several body styles and trim levels, with the 2-door Malibu SS as the top option. Two six cylinders and 283- and 327-cubic-inch V8s were available, along with manual and automatic transmissions. Chevrolet sold more than 353,000, and a legend was born. The A-body was improved in 1965 with minor interior and exterior changes, plus 350-horse 327 and 375-horse 396 big block options. And in 1966 a swooping body replaced the boxy look, and the 396 big block became standard in the Super Sport package.

In 1967 a smoothed hood, horizontal grille and rear end bars, and frenched taillights complemented the voluptuous body. Front discs became optional, as did the new TH-400 three-speed automatic. Six V8s were available including the three big blocks found in the SS396 package, with power ratings topping out at 375 horses for the L78.

This clean 1967 Malibu Sport Coupe is a beautiful example of these timeless muscle cars. It has been intelligently modified with upgrades like a fuel-injected big block, four-speed manual, and modern dashboard gauges, but it still has that classic look.
