Description

The 1967 Chevrolet Chevelle was the second of a two-year span of the notable “coke-bottle styling” before the car grew in subsequent years. Receiving a slight facelift over the previous year, 1967 models featured less angular headlight surrounds and a larger bumper cutout beneath the grill. Available in three trims, the Chevelle provided plenty of different body styles, including a two or four-door wagon and multiple-engine options. Offered as either a sport coupe or convertible, the SS 396 was available for the thrill-seeking customer who desired one of Chevrolet’s renowned big-block powerplants. With nearly sixty thousand Chevelles produced as a sport coupe, just over three thousand were built as a convertible. What would become ‘America’s most popular mid-size car’, the Chevelle SS remains one of the most iconic muscle cars ever produced.
