Description

First introduced in 1959, the 3000 established Austin Healey as a leading manufacturer of sports cars, with period automotive publications praising their outstanding roadability and numerous successes in international motor racing. The aerodynamic body features sleek styling that aided in a top speed in excess of 100 miles per hour. These vehicles are equipped with a folding soft top, retractable side windows, and optional 2+2 seating. All of these provide the practicality of a sedan while retaining the thrill of an open sports car at a moment's notice. The car was continually improved until the end of production in 1967. These popular ‘Big Healey’ sports cars have evolved into beloved classics.

Ownership History

The seller's family purchased this 1967 Austin Healey in October 1971. After enjoying the car for several years, it was placed into storage in 1978. In January 2011, the car was removed from storage and brought to marque specialist Knut Holzer, British Restoration Corp. of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, where the restoration was completed in August that year. Following the restoration, the family has driven and kept this 3000 Mk III in their stable as a fine example of the breed.
