Description
OFFERED WITHOUT RESERVE
The Ford Fairlane, named after Henry Ford’s estate in Dearborn, Michigan, was produced from 1955 to 1970. Initially a full-size car, it transitioned to a mid-size segment in 1962, a pioneer in that segment.
The 1967 Fairlane 500 Convertible was part of the sixth generation of Fairlanes, which featured new styling and increased power. This generation saw the introduction of the Fairlane 500XL and GT models, which enhanced the car’s sporty image. The 1967 model retained the sleek lines and sculpted body introduced in 1966, characterized by its clean design, curved side glass, and stacked quad headlights.
Under the hood, the 1967 Fairlane offered a range of engines, including the powerful 390-cu-in V8, which was standard in the GT models. This engine produced 335 horsepower, making the Fairlane a formidable performer. The convertible variant added a touch of luxury and style, featuring a power-operated top.
The 1967 Ford Fairlane 500 Convertible is a classic example of mid-60s American automotive design, combining performance, style, and practicality in a single package — and this highly original example sports very rare Springtime Yellow paint (just four produced) and the optional Z-Code 390-cu-in V8 with four-on-the-floor.
