Description

The 1965 Corvette convertible equipped with the base 327ci/250 horsepower V8 and the two‑speed Powerglide automatic transmission was a solid performer in the C2 Sting Ray lineup. Powered by a 10.5:1 compression Carter four‑barrel small‑block, it delivered 250 horsepower and 360 lb‑ft of torque. Standard four‑wheel disc brakes, functional fender vents, and sleek flat‑dial instrumentation enhanced both style and handling. Of the 15,376 convertibles produced, approximately 2,551 featured the 327/250 combo across all body styles, with just over 2,000 said to be specified with Powerglide. Prized for its balance of ease and performance, this specific variant remains a well-regarded classic.

Retained by the original owner’s family until 2024, this example retains its original color combination of Glen Green over Saddle upholstery, and reportedly benefits from a thoughtful refurbishment under prior ownership. Work is said to have included a repaint, rebuilding the factory engine and carburetor, rebuilding the rear trailing arms, and adding practical upgrades such as a secondary radiator and electric cooling fan for improved performance in warm weather.

This C2 Corvette convertible is now offered with service records dating back to 1987, its factory owner’s manual, technical information and service books, a car cover, and a clean California title.
