The original Ford Mustang debuted in April 1964 and immediately defined what an American pony car could be — affordable, stylish, and available in enough configurations to suit a broad range of buyers. Assembled at the Dearborn, Michigan plant and originally distributed through the St. Louis sales district, this Mustang coupe represents the early production run of the first full model year.
