Description

OFFERED WITHOUT RESERVE

The 1963 AMC Rambler American 440 was part of the second generation of the Rambler American line, produced during the 1961–1963 model years. The higher-trim 440 variant reflected AMC’s strategy of blending affordability, practicality, and comfort in the compact‑car market. The Rambler American platform itself dated back to AMC’s long‑running commitment to economical vehicles, with the model line spanning from 1958 to 1969. For 1963, AMC introduced updated styling and improved engineering across its American lineup, and the 440 series featured refined interiors, a clean exterior design, and optional upgrades such as bucket seats.

This 1963 AMC Rambler American 440 Hardtop is powered by a 196ci inline-six that breathes through an aftermarket carburetor and exhaust system, paired with a three-speed automatic transmission. The body has been refinished in black and features polished bumpers and trim, while red-painted 15” steel wheels wear Rambler-branded covers. Inside, the front bucket seats and a rear bench have been upholstered in textured red vinyl and are joined by a center console with aluminum trim. Recent service reportedly included replacing the brake master cylinder and fuel pump.

This Rambler American 440 is now offered at no reserve with a clean Missouri title in the seller’s name.
