Description

OFFERED WITHOUT RESERVE

If it was loud, fast, or custom, you knew Trebbi—er, trouble—was coming. Born and raised in Cincinnati, Ohio, George Trebbi was known for his insatiable quest for knowledge in business, history, and classic cars. He loved sharing his knowledge and passion with friends and family, and he could frequently be found taking his grandchildren for a joyride in one of his cherished Chevys. Hagerty Marketplace is proud to present The Trebbi Collection: custom, fast, and loud—and all presented without reserve. * * *

Introduced in 1958 as Chevrolet’s entry‑level full‑size model, the Biscayne shared its long, clean body lines with the Impala and Bel Air, but it had less trim than its more expensive siblings. By 1963, Chevrolet had refreshed its full-size lineup with a sleeker roofline and crisper rear styling, giving even the Biscayne a more modern look.

Available in sedan and station wagon versions, the Biscayne received a standard six-cylinder engine, but optional V8 power transformed the lightweight automobile into an unexpected sleeper — quietly capable on both the street and strip.

This ’63 Biscayne was originally equipped with a 230ci inline-six engine, which was swapped for a 409ci V8 by a previous owner. The engine is mated to a four-speed manual gearbox with a curved floor shifter. The car is finished in Autumn Gold paint over Fawn (light tan) vinyl upholstery with patterned cloth inserts. Additional features include a 4.11:1 positraction rear end, factory tachometer mounted on the steering wheel, heater, and an AM radio.

This 1963 Chevrolet Biscayne 2-Door Sedan is represented by a Broad Arrow Specialist and is now offered at no reserve with a clean Ohio title in the current owner's name.

Additional Information

The seller states that the vehicle was built/restored by a previous owner. No documentation is available for its transformation from a six-cylinder to a V8 or for any other modifications.

The seller adds, “The vinyl floor is deteriorating, and these liners are not reproduced, so my advice would be: Do not remove or replace it if you want to maintain its period correctness. The car's engine is a high-performance 409 V8 making 425 horsepower, and it has correct 409 deep-dish wheels with small hubcaps to complete its overall sleeper image. It underwent a body-off restoration and has logged just over 1,000 miles since it was restored. [Other than the vinyl floor,] the excellent factory interior is good evidence of this car's condition, even prior to restoration.”

A Broad Arrow Representative is working as an agent on behalf of the seller of this vehicle. As such, the purchase transaction will be facilitated by Broad Arrow, including vehicle payment, applicable taxes required to be collected by the seller or Broad Arrow, and title/ownership reassignment. Broad Arrow is a wholly owned subsidiary of Hagerty.
