Description
Restyled for the 1960s, the Cadillac Series 62 toned down the excess of the late 1950s and amped up the sophistication. Trimmed-down tailfins and a longer hood gave the '63 model a low-slung look that stood in marked contrast to its predecessors. As with earlier Series 62 models, however, Cadillac offered a tremendous amount of customizability, resulting in numerous unique trims and color combinations. Befitting its status as a Cadillac, the Series 62 retained a luxurious cabin that could be decked out with lush leather upholstery and was commonly fitted with numerous power accessories.
Finished in white over a red leather interior with seating for up to six passengers, this '63 Series 62 droptop has been with its current owner in Colorado since 2011. The car is powered by a 390ci V8 paired with an automatic transmission that is said to have been overhauled within the last 1,000 miles, and the seller notes that exhaust components and trunk carpeting have been replaced.
While its appearance presents in a largely unmodified condition, this Caddy boasts modern audio equipment including a semi-hidden head unit under the dashboard, an amplifier, and dual 12-inch subwooers.
This '63 Cadillac Series 62 Convertible is now offered with a clean Colorado title in the seller's name.
