Description

The most enduring car of all time, the Volkswagen Type 1 needs no introduction. With more than 21 million produced over an unprecedented 65-year production run, the Type 1 (affectionately dubbed the "Beetle") truly lived up to its purpose as "the people's car". With such an accessible platform, the Bug became a cultural icon around the world, inspiring a vibrant modification and customization culture that is still thriving to this day. From dune buggies to low riders, the Beetle and its derivatives are often as unique as the people who drive them.

This 1962 Volkswagen Beetle was reportedly sold new in southern California and was relocated to Nevada when the seller acquired the car in 2012. According to the seller, a cosmetic refresh and mechanical overhaul were subsequently completed in 2016, which included the installation of an air-cooled 1,915cc flat-four with dual EMPI HPX-44 carburetors said to have built by NV Automotive and WIK Racing in Las Vegas.

Power is routed through a rebuilt four-speed manual transmission. Upgraded wheel hubs were installed to accommodate EMPI four-wheel disc brakes and 17"x7" Audi Quattro aluminum-cast wheels, which wear Dunlop Direzza tires. The car has been refinished in silver over black vinyl upholstery and features an upgraded Pioneer Bluetooth head unit with a Kicker five-speaker stereo system.

This 1962 Volkswagen Beetle is now offered with a car cover, assorted spare parts, and a clean Nevada title in the seller's name.
