The 1960 Pontiac Bonneville Vista Hardtop was a standout in Pontiac’s full-size lineup, blending luxury, performance, and futuristic styling. As part of the prestigious Bonneville series, the sedan featured a sleek pillarless four-door design that emphasized open visibility and a spacious interior. It rode on a 124-inch wheelbase, offering a smooth and commanding presence on the road. 

Under the hood, the Vista Hardtop came with Pontiac’s powerful 389 cubic-inch V8, with the 281-horsepower, four-barrel-carb version being standard. Inside, the Vista Hardtop was appointed with Morrokide (upscale vinyl) upholstery, foam-cushioned seats, and a walnut-trimmed dashboard, reflecting Pontiac’s push toward upscale refinement. It also featured advanced options like power steering, power brakes, and Hydra-Matic transmission, making it a technologically advanced choice for 1960 buyers. 

With over 39,000 units produced, the Bonneville Vista Hardtop was a commercial success and helped solidify Pontiac’s reputation for building stylish, performance-oriented cars. This beautiful example was recently restored and wears Shelltone Ivory paint with blue knit cloth upholstery and gold Bonneville script badging.

Ownership History 

This 1960 Pontiac Bonneville Vista Hardtop is offered from The Burnyzz Collection of no reserve automobiles. It was previously on display at the Volo Museum. The seller says, “Every aspect of this sedan has been fully restored to an exceptional standard, with excellent paint, gleaming chrome, and crystal-clear glass throughout. The interior is equally impressive.”
