Description
In the booming American economy following World War II, a new niche opened up in the automotive world for a second family car - one that could serve as a smaller, around-town runabout, perfect for running a few errands. The Nash Metropolitan served that purpose very well, as it was smaller than a VW Beetle, reportedly sporty to drive, and more useful than a sports car. This Series IV model benefited from a number of improvements over the years, including a slightly larger displacement engine and an external decklid, allowing easier access to the trunk than earlier models.
