Description

The 1959 Chevrolet Impala remains one of the most recognizable full-size American automobiles ever built. Distinguished by its dramatic rear fins, cat-eye taillights, sweeping roofline, and extensive brightwork, the 1959 Impala represented Chevrolet's flagship passenger car and embodied the height of Detroit's Jet Age styling era. Equipped with Chevrolet's desirable 348 cubic-inch Turbo-Thrust V8, these cars combined distinctive styling with capable performance and remain sought-after among enthusiasts today.

This '59 Impala Sport Coupe is powered by a factory 348 cubic-inch V8 paired with a Powerglide automatic transmission and is equipped with power steering and power brakes. Finished in white over a red vinyl bench-seat interior, the car is further equipped with a Continental spare tire carrier, NueVue spotlights, rear fender skirts, a Dagmar front bumper kit, polished wheel covers, dual antennas, and a padded dashboard.

This Impala Sport Coupe 348 is now offered with an owner's manual, refurbishment photos, a Continental spare tire carrier, an additional spare tire, and a clean California title in the seller's name.

Ownership History

From the seller: “This 1959 Impala is a turnkey driver with the desirable 348 and Powerglide drivetrain and original bench seat. Accessories include a Continental kit, functional NueVue spotlights, rear fender skirts, Dagmar bumper kit, spinner caps, padded dash, and dual antennas.

The car is complete and in full service. The chrome is in excellent condition, and the undercarriage was painted to match the body during a previous refurbishment. The rubber body mounts appear fresh, contributing to a very smooth ride.

The wipers, heater, headlights, brake lights, reverse lights, turn signals, glovebox light, and rear license plate light all function properly. Power steering and power brakes make the car easy to drive, and with fresh fluids and new whitewall tires, it is ready to enjoy.
