Description

OFFERED WITHOUT RESERVE

The 1957 Pontiac Star Chief showcased the bold “Star Flight” styling of the era — complete with rocket-inspired side trim, flattened tail fins, and a pronounced, chrome-plated bumper-grille ensemble. Positioned above the Chieftain in Pontiac’s lineup, the more prestigious Star Chief was available in multiple body styles, including sedan, Catalina Coupe, convertible, and wagon. It could be had in Deluxe and high-end Custom trim.

Under its hood was Pontiac’s newly introduced 347‑cubic-inch V8, offering a range of power outputs from 227 horsepower to an impressive 290 hp through a tri-carb “Tri‑Power” unit. Available transmissions included standard three-speed manual (column-shift), optional Overdrive manual, and the advanced Hydra-Matic four-speed automatic transmission.

This Star Chief Hardtop Coupe, which was refurbished under previous ownership, wears top-of-the-line Custom trim, which offered exterior features that included two-tone paint Cordova Red Metallic and Kenya Ivory paint, four-star chrome accents on the rear fenders, and fender skirts. Additional Custom features include Ivory leather upholstery with maroon fabric inserts and optional factory-installed air conditioning. The Star Chief is powered by a 347ci V8 engine with two-barrel carburetor, mated to a Hydra-Matic four-speed automatic transmission.

This 1957 Pontiac Star Chief Custom Catalina Coupe is now represented at no reserve by a Broad Arrow Specialist with a factory owner’s manual, air-conditioning manual, and a clean Florida title in the current owner's name.
