Description
The 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air Convertible stands as one of the most recognizable symbols of postwar American optimism. Introduced during a booming economy, the ’57 Bel Air dazzled buyers with dramatic tailfins, a bold gold-anodized grille, and abundant chrome.
Beneath its glamorous exterior, Bel Air offered modern performance, including the new 283ci V8. The convertible model became a rolling celebration of open-road romance, perfectly suited to cruising new interstate highways. Although it was produced for just one model year in this iconic form, the drop top achieved immortality through movies, music, and car culture.
This ’57 Bel Air is said to have received a frame-off refresh in 1991, when it was finished in its current Harbor Blue paint with two-tone blue vinyl upholstery and matching interior paint. The car is powered by a carbureted 283ci V8 engine and 2-speed Powerglide Automatic transmission. Additional features include power steering, an AM radio, light blue steering wheel with horn ring, and white convertible top.
This 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air Convertible is now offered with an owner’s manual, a period promotional calendar, and a clean California title in the seller’s name.
