Description
OFFERED WITHOUT RESERVE
The 1956 Ford F-250 was part of Ford’s second-generation F-Series trucks, which made a major leap in comfort and durability for working buyers. Introduced during a postwar boom, the F-250 slotted between light-duty pickups and heavy commercial trucks, offering greater payload and stronger components. It featured a wider cab, an optional wraparound windshield, and a redesigned grille that modernized its appearance. Power came from inline-six engines or optional overhead-valve V8s, paired with robust manual transmissions. Ford emphasized driver comfort with improved seating and ventilation, unusual for trucks of the era.
This 1956 F-250 was reportedly purchased new at Hub Ford in Atlanta, Georgia, and has since remained under the ownership of the seller’s family. Power is provided by a 272ci Y-Block V8 paired with a three-speed manual transmission and rear-wheel drive.
Refinished in its current red in approximately 2004 and fitted with a wooden stake bed, the truck wears a polished front bumper, white grille, dual side mirrors, and running boards. The wooden tailgate is adorned with a mural, and painted scripts accent the bed frame. Inside, a bench seat is reupholstered in black vinyl and contrasted by body-color painted metal surfaces.
This 1956 Ford F-250 is now offered at no reserve with spare bed stakes and Georgia registration in the seller’s name.
